  • I started giving my son a sippy around 6 months, he didnt actually start using it until closer to 9 months and at 11months he was using a sippy exclusively. Start giving it to him now just to get him used to it, if he doesnt use it yet no biggy he can still have the bottle or breast or whatever.

  • I don't think anyone should do a sippy cup. It makes the kids lazy. DD went straight to a regular cup when we started her on solids. The first couple weeks were really messy but she mastered it fast.

  • My son was about 7 months when i started, but, they didn't have soft spout cups then. But, at 8 months, it won't hurt to try.

  • You should start a sippy cup at 6 months. My daughter started with a soft tip one and it really helped the transition.

  • We introduced our son to his at 6 months... but he wouldn't drink out of it until now, nearly 10 months.
