Why are people denying the Holocaust?

I don't understand why people are denying that one of the biggest tragedies in human history happened.

How is it even possible to deny? They say that its just jewish propaganda and that it has been made to look worse then it actually was?!

Can anyone enlighten me.

  • People have been denying it for 64 years, I don't know what they gain from it, but it makes them look like crackpots.

  • I haven't noticed people trying to deny the Holocaust here in Houston. There are several museums that are about the Holocaust. It's a very eye opening experience. Makes no sense to me for someone to blame what happened on a completely different circumstance other than what did happen.

  • Denying the Holocaust is like denying the sun is hot. I don't understand it one little bit.

  • Somehow the further away something is in history the more distorted it can get. The Holocaust is a perfect example. You give a few Skinheads and other groups a little while to fall out of favor and they will stir the hate pot in any way they can. The evidence of the Holocaust is iron clad. All an intelligent person has to do is look and research for themselves. Some do, and some choose to believe the first dogma drool they hear and take it as truth. As late as 1892 there were groups of people that believed jews wore hats to cover their horns. It sound so stupid that anyone could have ever believed it...yet they did. We are not jewish but we give annually to the SHOAH Foundation Institute whose purpose is "To overcome prejudice, intolerance, and bigotry
    —and the suffering they cause—
through the educational use of the Institute’s visual history testimonies"

  • Did you know that in Japan they have erase Pearl Harbor from their books, as a matter of fact, the movie Pearl Harbor was banned in Japan. Students were curious to see it, they asked Americans to get on base so they could see what the movie was all about. Denial is a powerful tool for government as a form of control. They figure most people who live through will be dead by so and so year so hopefully this whole ting will go away, little that they know...
