poopy diaper?

my dd just pooped, and when i wiped her there was just a little bit of blood on the wipe...i checked because we just got over a very bad diaper rash where she had two spots break open and bleed...she doesn't have diaper rash in the presuming that it's rectal, is this anything to be worried about? (btw: she's 11 months old and hadn't pooped for two days)

  • She could have just been really contipated, the little bit of blood could be from the straning. I would keep watching for blood when you change dipers if there seems to be less or none at the next diper change, I wouldn't worry about it.

  • it is probly just because she strained my little boy did the same thing just keep an eye on it if it does not go away soon take him to the doctor maybe try a juice that will help her go easier

  • her poop was probably hard and scratched the inside of her rectum or caused a little tear at the end. it is normal. rub some vaseline at the end of her booty. she should be just fine. give her 2oz of prune juice mixed with 4oz. of apple juice. do that once a day until she poops normally. good luck

  • Sometimes when babies have to strain to poop, there is some slight tearing at the anal area which will cause the small bleed. If you're ever unsure definitely always call the doctor.
