whites, brights and darks... do you wash them separately?

When you wash the laundry do you separate them? Or do you just throw in a load of EVERYTHING? Do you wash towels together? Socks together? Under wear together? What do you do and what is your reason behind doing so?

Personally I wash everything together! I HATE sorting through everything!!! Although I do keep my towels and socks away from other things I wash with because I HATE getting those little balls on my clothes! So I guess I am a little picky... I wash towels and socks together... everything else just goes in the washer the way it goes into the laundry room... in one lump sum! LOL

  • eh, It all goes in together, I even got rid of all our baskets and now everything just goes straight into the washer and when its full it gets run.

  • I have three piles: Whites, Towels, and "Clothes". The only things I do not wash with "clothes" are my husbands uniforms.

  • I use to separted everything. But now I when I do laundry we each have our own baskets & that is the way things get washed. example: We are a family of 5 so there are 5 loads unless I do towels/sheets/blankets.

  • I used to be anal about my laundry..still am a little bit but since I got bigger in my pregnancy I am down to "colors, whites and towels". I am still anal about what I dry and don't dry (hang up). I am so lax about my laundry now that I've resorted to the cheapest/and or sale detergent and no more fabric softener which I used to love...maybe when I get my energy back!

  • I used to separate everything...but I got lazy, lmao. It's hard to do that many loads of laundry with an infant taking up all my time, plus we have to pay for water. We can't really afford to use that much water, yanno?
