anyone of lenape decent?

just curious! I am caucasion, but was raised in Ringwood, NJ which has a high lenape population (very mixed). I remember in kindergarten they had a pow wow to celebrate the native american traditions! it was so neat and since then I always thought I was a native american, but learned of my heritage later on. but part of me followed the "religion" for years, which led me to my current pantheist beliefs.

  • OMG Anon...get over it....she misspelled a word, big deal.

The Lenape (later named Delaware Indians by Europeans) are organized bands of Native American peoples with shared cultural and linguistic characteristics. (got it from Wiki)
