Is this possible?

I'm 38 wks and I went to the doctors today, I'm not dialated. My baby has dropped, and I'm either having braxton hicks or contractions..
Can you have contractions without being dialated?

  • it's only when they're consistent, strong and real labor cramps that will dialate you. braxton hicks are practice.

  • I was only 1 cm when I was in labor. even after the petocin and 10 hours of labor I was only 2 cm. I had an emergency c section, not only because of that, but after the epidural my baby's heart rate dropped after each contraction
