  • No, the Mirena is an IUD and the Diaphram is a barrier device

  • no mirena is an iud, it goes inside the uterus, and a diaphram covers the opening of the uterus(the cervix) so that the sperm cannot enter at all. :o)
mirena a doc inserts and it stays there, a diaphram you insert yourself before sex.

  • No the Mirena is an IUD and it goes permanently in your uterus for up to 5 years. The only thing I know about a diaphram is that you put it in yourself, and you take it out when you're done having sex.

  • A diapram is used every time that it is needed; it is hormone free and has no side effects.
