homemade spout covers?

we have a frog spout cover for the tub, but we just moved and the new one (tub spout) is short and fat, and the cover doesnt fit correctly. I thought last night about making my own. I was thinking of buying some foam sheets, and shaping them to fit the spout. would this work? if so, would I have to remove it after each bath in case it got yucky? thanks!

  • If you can find neoprene foam (which is used for wetsuits), you'll only have to remove it once in a while for cleaning. Some online fabric and craft supply stores have it.
