Kids in my son's class are teasing him that he is too skinny...

So...he told them "he rather be skinny than fat"! Is that mean? Or did he defend himself appropiately? He is not skinny, his weight is in the 75 percentile for his age. My son would never tease anyone, but at times I fell like he gets bullied by mean kids and he should stickup for himsef more! Ugh...I feel bad for him.
Besides, skinny and fat comments can be detrimental to a child this age. What do you think?

  • That's what my response would have been. Just remind him that kids tease out of jealousy. My son gets razzed all the time for being a bean poll...he's 6' and weighs about 132 lol, but he's all lean muscle now :)

  • Good for him. He should be able to defend himself.
