Baby temperature?

I'm sure I should know this... What is the normal range for a newborn's temperature?

  • Normal range for an infannt is up to 100.4 Anything over that is typcially considered a low grade fever. My duaghter is usually 99.9 in the evennigns and 98.9 in the mornings. (you tend to be a little warmer later in the day)

  • what age is your child? Under arm is not very accruate. It's recommended to do rectal for at least the first 4 months. Doc office did rectal until a year and a half for my daughter.

  • thanks ladies! anonymous (11:36)- she's 12 days old. they told me at the hospital to do it under her arm. i thought that was strange, cuz we always did my step daughter's rectally. i'll check it both ways! :) (poor kid)
