  • If the doctor has given the okay and the baby is getting his nutrition from real food sources you can switch when ever you want. Don't mix it...that's gross. Just switch. If there are going to be stomach issues, there will be issues with one ounce or straight soy milk.

You don't have to supplement for vitamins. Just make up the difference with foods. They say to give formula (or breast milk) for a year as those two things have everything the baby needs. Cow milk has nothing that can't be replaced with other foods and it's not recommended that it be given before a year. Before that, there's nothing to replace!

  • Its your baby, you can slowly introduce it. Replace an OZ of formula a day until its fully milk so you don't cause stomach issues. They say not until 1 year so you need to supplement all the vitamins and things milk has.

  • Honestly I would wait until your baby turns a year because the soy can cause allergic reactions since it comes from a legume. Breast milk or baby formula are best but you can also talk to your doctor about giving your baby a little rice milk (fortified) or Hemp Milk (fortified and usually has DHA).
