Drinking your weight in ounces is way to much in a day. Dietary recommendations in general are to drink 8-8 oz glasses of water a day. That is 64 ounces..This also depends on how active you are. Of course if you exercise more, your body may need more because we loose a lot through sweating which is our bodies natural way of cooling itself. In my nutrition class we learned that for a male they should drink up to 125 ounces a day and a women 91 ounces a day, but that includes the water we get through foods and other drinks as well. It's very important not to drink much over this daily because you put yourself at risk for hyponatremia.
