  • That's a decision you will have to make for yourself. I still prefer bottled water, because I am on the go all the time. I carry it with me where ever I go. If I stayed home more, maybe I will do that, but it just depends on what your lifestyle is like.

Whatever you chose, drinking water is the best thing you can do!!

  • YES! We use a water filter. I think it costs us $12. We have to replace the filter every two to three months- I think that costs $3 or $4. So it will definitely save you money. It is a slight inconvenience, since you have to fill your own water bottles, but I think it's worth it.

  • Yes, filtered water is cheaper. Bottled water (like Dasani) is just filtered tap water.

Eat beans, lentils and tofu instead of meat.

Use dried beans and lentils instead of canned.

Don't buy processed foods; make your meals from scratch.

Plan your meals and for the next 8 days before you go to the grocery store; write a grocery list based on your meal plan. Eat before you shop, and only buy what is on the list.

  • You can buy a Nalgene water bottle or a stainless steel water bottle to take your water on the go. I'm big into cutting out all sources of BPAs from my diet and bottled drinks are one of those sources. So yes, it saves money, and is healthier.

Our fridge has filtered water and we have a Brita pitcher.

You can check out DVDs from the library and books too, of course.
