How would you explain to a foreigner USA Government & Politics?

  • Step 1. Find people with lots of money (or fundraising skills) & very little intelligence. It helps if they are completely without morals, values or conscience.
    Step 2. Find idiots to vote for them. It helps if you are completely unaware of current issues or events.
    Step 3. Fill the government structure with many unneccessary patronage postions at extremely high salaries (Think like NY. Get a retired boxer with brain injuries to fill a newly created "liason" position)
    Step 4. Find well heeled lobbyists from many special interest groups. Allow them to shamelessly influence the politicians with lots of money & gifts.
    Step 5. Raise the taxes of American citizens to pay for the bloated government & the concessions made for the lobbyists.
    Step 6. Sit back let it self-destruct.
    Step 7. Act astonished at the eventual outcome.

  • My Husband isn't from the US and he understands it quite well, I didn't even have to explain it, he say's he knows it's "sh*t".. Not much more he needed to know..
