  • Benadryl is absolutely fine! This contains an antihistamine which is recommended for his exact symptoms.

  • benedryl is an allergy medicine, and sneezing/runny nose is included in allergy symptoms. IF that is what is ailing him, it will help, but remember that benedryl may cause sleepiness.

  • Allergies wouldn't cause a fever. There's really nothing a doctor will do for a runny nose or fever besides tell you it's a virus and will run it's course. Give him Tylenol to bring down his fever if it's over 102. They don't make children's cold medicine any more.

  • Why are moms saying that allergies would cause a fever? No, those aren't his exact symptoms!
