Whatever you are trying to change, do it gradually to save your sanity. So, if your toddler goes to bed at 9 pm right now & you need to change it to 8 pm for whatever reason, start moving his bedtime by 5 to 10 minutes only. When s/he adjusts to that, then do it again until you get to the time you need. If you are going to work nights & won't be there, start doing the routine with the new person & you, gradually phasing you out of the picture. If you are adding or taking away a bath, you might try talking about it first. Something like, tomorrow, you are going to take your bath in the morning, not at night. Toddlers can be really resistant to change so make everything as upbeat & positive as possible. Good luck!
