  • She needs fingerfood right now. Give her small plates of finger food every three to 4 hours (meal, snack, meal, snack.) Offer fruits and veggies and protein, she probably gets enough carbs through cereal. She very well may be hungry, but if she is she will eat more. Just give her her plate, stop feeding her. As long as it is cut up small enough she should be fine.

  • She is 18 months old she can eat what you are. Just because she only have a couple teeth does not mean she can not chew. Just offer small cut up peices if what you ar eating and she will be fine. The nurse as normal. Most kids do not get up at night to eat.

  • At 18 months she can be eating exactly what you eat. Cut it up tiny for her---you'll be amazed at what babies figure out to do with just 8 teeth. She won't learn unless you let her.

If she has a filling dinner and a snack before bed, she won't get up to nurse because she's hungry. For comfort maybe but not because she's hungry.

  • avocado, scrambled egg, hummus, cooked beans, brown rice, whole wheat pasta, cheese, whole grain bread with sunflower butter, cooked sweet potato, frozen peas and blueberries, etc.
There is a great book on feeding babies, toddlers and their families called Super Baby Food by Ruth Yaron; you should be able to find a copy at your local library; more information at

  • STop the babyfood give her whatever you eat in small peices that she can pick up...she is way old enough to feed herself mostly

The nursing is still a good idea but do it after meals not before at this age...try making your own guacamole with avacado and diced tomato and give her crackers to dip in son loves this
