  • In New York, at the Robert Moses beaches, there is a nude beach right in the mix. My family always had to walk through it to get to the lighthouse . . . I stayed to watch our stuff (not comfortable going through a nude beach with the parentals!!)

  • only on private beaches, usually that belong to nudist colonies.

  • Yes. And they are not all private beaches. I know of one in Malibu that is simply a slightly secluded cove but anyone can get to it from the shore or other beaches. I've walked through it myself several times - with clothes and keeping my eyes to myself. The police have better things to do than to police the smaller beaches so unless someone complains, it's ignored.

  • Really there's topless beaches?

Answer by Red_Mama0723 at 8:43 PM on May. 16, 2009

  • I don't see why not. Here in TX, women are allowed to be topless in public just like men, so that would apply to beaches too.

  • I heard a rumor that there was one in Hawaii called "Donkey beach"--- no joke. I can't remember which island, though.
