Changing Formulas

my 6 mth old was changed from similac advance to similac isomil. now it seems like she is throwing up that like she did the other one. Should i change it again, i found a different kind of similac that seems like it would work for her? (i know i have to check with the dr but i just want some opinions)

  • If she is throwing up on the on u just switched her to then i would definitly change the formula. apparently there is something in it that dont agree with her imature little tummy.

  • You don't "have" to check with the doctor, but it 's definitely a good idea to keep the doctor informed.

Remember it takes about a week for a formula change to take full effect...get the old out of the system and to see if the new will make a difference.

  • sounds like she maybe needs soy. call your doc def if your baby is vomitting alot, or everytime she eats. Most formulas are the same, except like good start or soy. But there is very little difference between them all. I just talked to my doc about this subject and my son is 5 weeks old.We mix enfamil lipil and good start, and he didnt take a week or anything to adjust, his tummy was better later that day...
