  • I think if he's sleepy, he needs to sleep. Sorry.

  • good luck! my advice though, honestly, would be to not keep him awake. It is even harder for our little ones to fall asleep if they are overtired, and if you keep him up he may end up going to bed too late instead of too early! I feel your pain though - been there, done that many times.

  • if he still takes naps, let him take one later in the afternoon. try letting him sleep for an hour.

  • I wouldn't keep him awake. My son was really tired on day and we took him up to bed a hour early and he slept in a hour late. He really needed the sleep.

  • try giving him a bowl of fruity pebbles or choclate icecream better yet!

  • I have this problem alot and found that keeping her awake was not possible. I let her take a quick nap, maybe 45 mins or an hour. Sometimes she goes to bed early after that and sometimes she stays up for an extra hour or two, but I don't think it's good to "keep" them awake if they need sleep.

  • I agree...I would just let him sleep. Its will be harder for him to fall asleep if he is over tired. My son just took a late nap so it might ruin his sleep schedule but maybe not but it doesn't matter...when his little body is tired I let him sleep...

  • Let the poor little guy sleep. He'll probably sleep in to his normal time anyways.
