  • No, not all. That's actually early if he does, people need to stop comparing kids, they are all different. Some kids can take as long as 15 months before they walk.

  • No most babies do not walk until 11 months or later. He is fine my daughter is 8 months and does the same thing as your son. She will walk all over the place holding onto her toys but isn't doing it on her own. Don't worry, its not uncommon or abnormal

  • He is very young. My daughter is 10 months old and not walking. Some babies don't walk until after they are a year old. No need to worry at all. Whoever is saying that to you, doesn't know much about babies.

  • You have nothing to worry about he is only eight months old. Your son is pretty talented already. Don't worry the walking will come soon. Kids all start walking at diffrent times. Don't listen to ppl

  • Don't worry! My son didn't walk until 9 months, and I've seen several babies that haven't walked until about a year. Every kid moves at their own pace, it sounds like he's getting there!

  • MOST infants do not walk until 11-13 months. That is an AVERAGE. Some walk a little earlier, some walk a little later. He's fine.

  • Stop listening to what other people say. No child is alike. My son didn't walk till he was 15 mos old but all my sisters kids walked at 9, 10 and 11 mos.

  • dont listen to other people. you cannot compare babies because all of them are different and are going to learn things at different times. my dd started walking at 8 1/2 months but even the pedi said that was VERY early to start. so hes doing fine.. he'll take off when he ready.

  • Most kids don't walk at 8 months...
many kids will by a year but a fair number don't until they are over a year old.
My son is 10 months and not walking yet...

  • That is just ignorant.... MOST kids aren't walking at 7-8 months old.

It is more common for kids to be walking around 12 months old, and it is still within the "typical" age frame for them to start walking in the 12-18 month age group. Some moms here may scoff at a 16 or 18 month old just starting to walk, but it really isn't a huge deal....
