I live in New Mexico and our house is at the end if the street so everything, especially tumble weeds all blow into our front yard. The tumble weeds are giving us terrible weeds! How can we kill them without harming our other plants? Thanks! Rabbits are also destroying our grass if you have any suggestions for that also. I don't want to poison the rabbits though. Thanks!

  • For the tumbleweeds:
Consider putting around your yard to block the tumbleweeds from rolling in. That will cut down on the seeds that get scattered in your yard.
Once you see a weed starting, hit it with a broadleaf weed killer - just spray it, not the whole yard - though you can spray broadleaf killer on the whole yard if you are careful to not get it on any of the other plants.

    For the rabbits:
Consider getting rid of the grass and putting in native plants and rocks. There's not much you can do to keep the bunnies out besides a tall block wall with a decently deep footing. You could always fence off a smaller section for a play area and fight the bunnies for that. And yes, don't poision them. Other animals will eat them and injest the poision that way. You don't want to discover you have been killing off endangered birds of prey because they've been eating poisioned bunnies.
