How can I get my 6 month old to eat solids?

My son just acts like I'm poisoning him and after 2 or 3 bites (most of which ends us on his fingers or his bib) he closes his mouth all tight and there is no way I can get a spoon in there! I don't want to force him to eat, but I'm so tired of getting up twice at night to feed him. Suggestions!! Please!!

  • Yeah, I was going to say the same thing as anon. He may just not be ready yet. Wait another month and try again!
