When I was reading to my oldest son, he was four, and I realized he was reading along with me. I thought oh, he's memorized the book. So I got a book that he had never seen before, and he read the whole book. I was amazed and pleased, because reading is so important to me.
Another favorite moment was when my youngest son (7) played violin at a recital, accompanied on piano by his older brother (10). I was so proud of them.
