Our 4 year old seth has been having accidents day and night

. I think its because we have really stepped up and put our feet down in disipline and are not letting him run all over us like he is used to. What are some healthy ways i can help him feel like he has control in some parts of his life and stop the accidents? any advice?

  • A reward chart for good behaviors? If he sets the table, makes his bed, gets into bed on time, wakes up dry - whatever - he earns a star. Earn enough (you decide how many) and he earns a small treat. For my daughter, that's a trip to the ice cream store but she's only 2.5 and thinks an ice cream cone is the best thing in the world.
Whatever you pick for him to do, make it things he is very likely to do for the few weeks. That way he will start earning rewards and feeling proud sooner. You can add things you want he to work towards later, once he has adjusted to the new discipline routine.
