  • The only problem I see is the lack of protein and calcium. Also too much fruit can give you diarrhea and that takes more nutrients away from your body.

  • Why don't you try, fruits, veggies, milk, and chicken and tuna? That way you're eating healthy but with a good variety of nutrients. Cereals too!

  • Yes, you will become anemic, and weak and develop brittle bones; your teeth may fall out.
Here is a much better plan:
Drink at least 8 8oz glasses of water a day.
Eat 7-8 servings of fruits and vegetables a day, in at least 3 different colors (leafy greens for calcium and iron).
Eat 6-7 servings of whole grains (loaded with protein and fiber) a day.
Eat at least one serving of legumes a day (beans are loaded with iron and calcium and protein)
Feel free to contact me directly for meal and recipe ideas (no, I am not selling anything).

  • fruits are usualy good ,but it has LOTS of glucose(sugar) that caqn be bad for you at the same time... so I say don't do it... if you wanna diet eat mostly vegies (raw or cooked) drink vegie juice mixed with fruit....and get some tofu (if you don't eat meat)

  • In order for the body to operate properly without breaking down in one area or another, you must look at the human body requires to live. We humans need protein at each meal, fruit and vegetables and even a small amount of starches.

You can do fruit for lunch, b/c if an adult gets enough calories, esp. protein at breakfast, you could get by with fruit for lunch, but why would you? Remember that the body needs protein to facilitate the sugar or you would end up with weight gain where the pancreas stores the overabundance of sugar. That would be in your middle. If you get enough protein for breakfast and then again at dinner, you could do clean veggies for lunch along with almonds for protein. That would help you keep your calories low, move your colon to keep it clean and clear and keep you full till dinner.

But frankly, nothing is better for the body than good simple food. Keep junk out of the house including sugar.

  • WOW some of the above are crazy answers and some are right on like the above. If you are gong to eat mostly fruit make sure that you eat a proper variety - include all color spectrum, this is essential to get proper nutrients. The sugar in fruit is the ONLY sugar your body can actually process - its natural, and sugar and carbs are the same thing - except natural carbs your body can process. You do need to include some proteins, if you do not want to do it thru meats you can increase your nut/beans intake - but again you need a variety. Fish would be essential as well so you get your fatty acids, etc - the human body, as mentioned, needs variety - but I do have to say that fruits are a great way to give your body some great natural nutrients and trace minerals - tyr to eat organic though - most fruits these days are mostly grey matter from over growing and chemicals
