What does it mean when people say "tighten up"

Does it mean the opposite of loosen up? Someone at work always says this to me when they greet me, they say "have you tightened up yet" or just "tighten up". I know I'm lame, I don't know the cool lingo, it's probably something obvious! Anyway if anyone knows, please share. Thanks!!!!

  • maybe tighten up and button up, like wrap things up in the office? IDK if they are saying it as part of a greeting then I am lost. I have used button up as a term to describe finishing up my day at the office. I guess I am as lame as you sister.
