Are payphones still 25 cents?

Just curious really because I haven't used a payphone in years but I still see them around.

You see I was getting a drink from the machine just now and got into a conversation with another employee about how the price of the sodas went up when we got the new machines on Friday (it was 60 cents now it is 75) and I put in a dollar and got a quarter back and was like "well at least I can still make a call, wait can I still make a call?" The other employee didn't know so can you all tell me?

  • I drove down the street yesterday and my neighbor's garaged was stuffed to seams with payphones. (The free standing kind that you would pull up next to at a gas station.) Don't ask me why, I have absolutely no earthly idea.
