What foods should I stock the house with?

My pregnancy journal suggest going shopping and stocking the house with good foods around 37 weeks so that I don't have to worry about running out to the super market to much in the first couple of days when baby gets here.

This is what I have on my list so far:
Chicken Breast
Tilapia
Salmon
Ground Turkey (I figure I can freeze the meat so it will last a couple of weeks)
Milk
Bread
Eggs
Low fat block cheese (to slice for snacks)
Shredded Cheeses
Individual cottage cheese cups
Yogurt
Spinach (fresh and frozen)
Fresh and Frozen veggies
Fruit (fresh, frozen, canned and dried so it will last)
Pasta
Lunch meat
Pasta Sauce (I make my own but I was thinking about making a big batch and freezing a few jars)

Am I missing anything? What would you suggest adding?

I'm also thinking about freezing some cassoroles. I was thinking:
Cheesy, Chicken and Bro

  • Id get some sort of juice...and icecream because if you plan on not grocery shopping the first few weeks its because you know having a baby is gonna be tough at first...so obviously your gonna want something to look forward to and a big bowl of icecream could be just that!
