breast reduction and breastfeeeding

has anyone had a breast reduction and still able to breastfeed? or not ? i have huge breast 36 i would say ddd to f (havent really been in the right bra and dont know where to get one that is decent where i live) i am wanting to get a reduction have been since 18 years old but i have heard stories about it can mess up your milk ducts and im to scared that that might happen so i am gonna wait till im about 36 to get it ( im almost 27 now and want at least 2 more children) just want to hear some success stories or horror stories.... and are consolations with plastic surgoens free??

  • i have the same prob. Im wearin 38DDD but it doesnt fit me right.... but thats all i could find.... most stores dont sell the bigger sizes- have to special order them online.
    when you find out the pros and cons of it let me know. im highly considering a reduction myself... goodluck!

  • After a reduction, there is often nerve damage and damage to the ducts -- with the type of surgery, it is difficult to avoid that -- but breastfeeding is still possible. You may not be able to get a full supply, and you may need to supplement - however any amount that you can produce is good
