Is it safe to relax your hair during pregnancy?

Not relaxing is not an option here.

  • there's no medical reason to not relax your hair while your pregnant. the relaxer can't soak through your scalp and get into you system and hurt the baby, lol so why not. if you choose not to relax your hair get it braided.

  • My hair dresser said it was fine but I didn't take any chances. I got my hair braided for both pregnancies.

  • My mother relaxed her hair in her 4 pregnancies and we are all fine, but Husband is not convinced...I really need to relax it, it has been 4 months now!!!

  • It should be fine the chemicals in the relaxer dont go into your skin so as long as your in a well ventalated room then its fine.
