  • We used to do a lot of baked beans and weanies. I still love baked beans and weanies... ;) The beans are really easy b/c you can peel the label off, open the can then set them on the fire, grill, etc. No pan needed. Weanies on a stick, no clean up. Just make sure to peel the stick and fire it first. I personally prefer the man-made sticks I think they're cleaner.

  • Hot dogs, Hamburgers, sandwiches, Hobo pizza, Grill Cheese, Hobo pies, just about anything you just make it on a grill or over the fire! And if you bring a grittle you can make eggs and bacon, and whatever else

  • When we went camping when I was a kid my mom made the greatest breakfasts ever. She took a cast iron skillet and made pancakes and sausage. Grilled toast is really good too.

  • Take along a cast iron skillet or cast iron griddle. You can cook bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, pancakes, grilled cheese and ham sandwiches, lots of stuff. You will want to roast marshmallows and make smores. You can do the normal hotdogs and hamburgers, corn on the cob, and also if you slice potatoes into 1/4" slices and wrap them in foil with butter then grill it til they get tender, its really good!

  • When we go camping we cook all the food at home and then freeze it. It really saves on prep and cooking times. We just pull it out and defrost and then reheat. It taste great, there is little cleanup, and saves sooo much time.

  • bring a cast iron skillet and make fried potatos. have the tatos already cut up and seasoned in a freezer bag with oil on them. and you'll need more oil to cook them with in the pan too.
