  • I have a great potato salad, that tastes like a loaded baked potato. Boil 5 lbs. of new red potatoes, dice them, and let them cool. Fry some bacon crisp, and then crumble it. Cut up some green onions, mix together 1 cup mayo, and 3/4 cup sour cream, and put into the potatoes. Add all the other ingredients, and then put shredded cheese on top,and mix through. It is THE best potato salad you'll ever eat. Happy bbqing!

  • Forgot to say, don't peel the potatoes, boil them as is!

  • We are also bbqing on Sunday, that way we have Saturday to prep and Monday to clean and relax =)

    I am serving:

hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage and peppers, deviled eggs, cole slaw and baked beans, beer, wine and our famous sangria .... also serving snacks before and planning on one of those cool whip and berries flag cakes, and freeze pops for the kids.

  • I always make Purple Salad...

Its a big container of cottage cheese, a big container of cool whip, a can of blueberry pie filling, mini marshellows(a bag), and a large box of black cherry jello mix(or plain cherry if cant find black).

You mix all the ingredients together(I only use about 1/2 the bag of marshmellows tho) and chill before eating.

Easy, cool and fun! Can be dessert or salad LOL.

    Have fun!

  • Oh forgot to add that if you cant find blueberry pie filling, cherry works well too.

  • Eclair cake
Layer bottom of 9x13 pan with grahm crackers
mix two large boxes instant vanilia pudding according to directions, pour half on to crackers
put another layer of crackers on top of pudding, pour remaining pudding on top.
now top with one more layer of crackers and then frost with a can of chocolate frosting,
fridge overnight. Good, and you don't have to heat up your kitchen to make it.
