  • Don't use paints. Instead, use pudding.

  • Yeah...I was gonna say to make them edible. If your child doesn't like the texture on his/her hands, add a tiny bit of something grainy to the mix.

  • I dont think so. I bought a huge peice of posterboard the other day with some crayola finger paints, and put in on the floor covered in newspaper and let my 6 month old crawl around and paint! He loved it, and not once did he try to put his hands in his mouth to eat the paint.
