  • why would ANYONE want to walk 5 miles a day- Yes hon-even changing your diet and walking one mile a day would result in a weight loss- but the KEY to looseing weight is drinking LOTS of water!
8-10 8 oz glasses a day would help you drop so lbs with out the walking!
    good luck!

  • I walk 4 or 5 miles a day about 5 times a week. Yes, you can totally lose weight as long as you're eating properly. Adding weights is really good too. I walk instead of drive, a lot of places.

  • My metabolism is so low now that I'm nearing 40! I walk at least 5 miles at work and I still gain weight but I am guilty of not eating right. Thanks for the tip about Sparkpeople.com, I plan on starting it tomorrow,tomorrow,tomorrow.....

  • I walk 5-7 miles 6 times a week. I eat like a horse and don't really lose weight but I don't gain any either. So if you ate healthier than me and layed off the cokes you could probalby lose the weight like it was nothing.
