Why do you think he released the memos showing methods of EIT, but won't release the memos that show the RESULTS of the use of EIT?
If Obama is truly about transparency, shouldn't he have released this information as well?
Cheney Calls for Release of Memos Showing Results of Interrogation Efforts
Former Vice President Cheney says he knows how successful the interrogation techniques were in collecting intelligence for the United States and wants that information to be released to the public as well as the legal memos explaining the decision to allow the heavily criticized methods.
I suspect because Cheney is right and Obama doesn't want anyone to know that. This will lower his approval rating and take focus off of him. Cheney is already stealing his thunder and I imagine it REALLY bothers him. If the public were to be provided proof that Cheney is correct and that EIT were useful, he would lose support of the moderates that he swayed to his side for the election. At least that's my guess.
And BTW, isn't a CNN poll showing that Cheney's approval rating is up 8%? WOW! The guy that so many have such ire for and have nicknamed him Darth Cheney (or whatever version), he's not even in office and his approval rating is going up.

Are you serious? You asking a question why President will not release the photos.Only reason do keep our troops safe .
You are the same person who was whining before how wrong President is wanting to release the photos. Former VP should just stop that nonsense.
Before you start to attack me .I did not vote for our current President.

So smart OP .What is the difference between releasing photos or memos? They would be equally bad for our troops safety overseas.
You don't need to worry about my education ,it is just fine.

The difference is that the memos would prove that information was gained by using EIT. It would eliminate a good portion of the blame game that is going on right now. Not all of it mind you, but much of it. JMO.
And grly, I think he only wants transparency when it comes to looking back at what the last administration has done, not with regards to their own administration. But then again, I think that's pretty obvious by the actions they have been taking.
