  • he could be teething or having a little growth spurt. Make sure he doesn't have a fever though. A slight fever will probably mean he is just teething. Some kids don't run a temp. when teething but most do. if he has a temp over 101.8 then take him to the ped.

  • My son has always been a fussy child but my husbands step brother had a very laid back good happy easy going baby and around 1 he turned fussy while preparing for his 1 year molars -

  • It could be teething- if you think teething and watch your baby, it should be pretty evident whethere that's going on or not. Could also be an ear infection- those don't manifest as obviously as you may think a lot of times and they're at higher risk if they still use a bottle after 18 months. He may also be switching out of his schedule. Mine is doing that right now and is a beast because she won't nap and gets way overtired. They're also just becoming more aware of the world and I think they get overwhelmed sometimes. Sorry, I think I gave too many possible answers, but those are my guesses!

  • Yes, I'm with you there. My 15-month-old son was always very happy, laughing and having fun all the time. Over the last few weeks he's gotten progressively crankier to now he's just fussy all the time. Nothing seems to work. I just read that 15-18 months is a teething period for molars, which are much harder to cut than incisors, so maybe that's it, combined with all the holiday nuttiness, maybe he's just stressed out. Will be trying some teething remedies and keeping a really calm, consistent schedule for a while to settle down. Have you tried anything new?
