  • Lol, just let them do it. I placed a big sleeping bag or layer of blankets on the floor and let my dd sit up whenever she wanted to. She fell back alot and the blankets keep you from going crazy as a mommy.

  • When they do it! A lot of people claim a bumbo "teaches" them to sit up, but that's hogwash. The muscles used to sit in a seat and to support your own body are completely different. Babies will get it. To "practice" you can put him in a boppy. It won't help him sit up, but he won't bump his head when he falls.
