Is it true that if the heart rate is 140 it's a boy??

Is the old Wive's Tale true??? I am really hoping for pink... but the HR was 140. Someone said that means that it is a boy.... anyone have girls with slower HR during preg??

  • At the beginning of my pregnancy my baby's heartbeat was 140's-150's and towards the end it was 120's-130's. I had a girl,so IDK??

  • Nope, it's a wives tale... some babies have high heart beats, some have low.

    If you had caffeine or sugar that could raise the rate, if you ate/drank something else, it might be lower...

  • Well, it was true for me. DD's heart rate was consistently in the 120-130 range. DS's heart rate was in the 140-150 range. Sorry.

  • im pregnant right now and its a boy and his heart beat is always around the upper 150s or lower 160s
