How much should I pay my mom for house sitting?

We are leaving tomorrow around noon and we will return on the 31st in the morning. We have 2 dogs, two cats, two fish tanks, and a bird. My mother is going to stay at my house and she does not work. What is a fair amount to pay her for helping us?

  • Is she not just willing to help you out for free, or are you paying her b/c she is in need of money b/c she has no job?

  • Due to physical issues, it has been challenging for her to find a job. I was thinking of paying her 20-25 per day. I am glad I was in the right ball park. Thank you for your help.
