Why is prostitution against the law but porn isn't?

Why is prostitution against the law but porn isn't? Both are sex for money one is just filmed.

  • Because with porn they are tested for diseases and I believe even use condoms now. Prostitution is sex with a random person without knowing anything about them.

  • Prostitution is also exploitation. It's not illegal because it is a public health hazard. It is illegal to protect women (and in some instances young boys and men).
