Since I don't know what you tried (or if your issue is too often or not often enough), I will make a few suggestions.
Are you getting enough exercise? At least 20 minutes a day at least 3 times a week, even if it is walking.
Are you drinking enough water? At least 8 8oz glasses a day.
Are you eating your fruits and vegetables? 7-8 servings, in at least 3 different colors, every day.
Are you eating whole grains? You should have 6-7 servings a day.
Dairy can be constipating and can cause loose stools; try cutting back on or or eliminating it.
Meat does not have fiber and can really mess up your digestive system; try eliminating meat for a few days; eat beans, lentils and tofu.
