If sex offenders register, what about murderers, rapists, and thieves?

I know sex offenders need to register when released for the public to know, but what about rapists, murderers and thieves (grand larceny scale)?

Do you think that all ex-criminals should have to register in a nationwide database that is open to the public? Maybe they do, I just don't know.

I wouldn't want a sex offender living next to me, or a rapist or murderer!!! I know that they've "paid their time", but it is still a reflection on their character and judgment.

your thoughts?

  • Indiana has a violent offender registry. I think its only a few years old. We were extreamly shocked at my work to find out one of our top producing sales agents (insurance company) was a convicted murderer. He had served his time and been paroled.

  • People make mistakes so why should they not get a second chance (Not talking about sexual offenders) even some murders deserve a second chance if they have proven to change their life then why not no i don't think all criminals should have to register maybe only the extremely violent but hopefully if they were convicted of a extremely violent crime they will not be getting out of prison
