Any recommendations for a cheap, boy baby doll?

My 20-month-old son has become fascinated with my 8-yr-old sister's baby dolls. I want to buy him one for his 2nd birthday, but I don't want to spend too much money, but I'd also like one that's durable... he plays hard! Thanks in advance!

  • For my sons first b-day I got him a cabbage patch doll that was a boy whose clothes didn't come off- it was very durable he dragged him around for 2 years. Don't know if they still make them or not. Also there is nothing wrong with a boy having a doll! That old mentality of not teaching boys to nurture is why so many on here complain about husbands who don't know how to parent!

  • Nothing wrong with a boy having a doll, Anon!

OP, my son has a Woody (Toy Story) doll and a Spiderman doll. We found both at Target about a year ago so I'm not sure if they still have them in stock.

BTW, the Woody doll talks by pulling a string.

  • Do they still do the Cabbage Patch kids? They used to have boy baby dolls I think. My 7 yo loves his Woody! And Buzz! Maybe you could try searching Toys R Us!

  • Wow! Anon, it must take balls to post something like that ANONYMOUSLY! There is nothing wrong with boys having dolls.
OP - you can find cheap boy dolls at most dollar stores and possibly Walgreens, CVS, etc. I looked at Walmart & Target for a boy doll yesterday and couldn't find one. Kids are naturally interested in babies. A boy having a doll is not harmful in any way.
