my 3 yr old had a tic on her neck today. she has never had one so i dont know what it is expose to look like when the tic is out. its still very deep red where she was bitten. in the spot there is still black and im not sure if it all came out. i had someone look at it and said its just dry blood there anyone with advice please help im worried about her getting sick if it not all out

  • To get a tick out take a pair of tweezers, fasten them very close to the skin near the tick's head, and ease it out. At least this is the last that I read on it. if you think some is still in there, I'd take her to a nurse or doctor and make sure. Good luck!

  • Sounds like your caught it quickly and there's nothing to worry about. If it was a big one, like ant sized, it was probably a dog tick. If it was tiny, just keep an eye on the wound and make sure it doesn't get a circle around it. Lime disease is only likely if it's a deer tick and has been in there longer than 24 hrs. GL!
