Does anybody have a "designer dog"?

Like a shi poo, morkie, schmoodle etc. What do you have and what are the pros and cons of the dog?

  • I have a Lhasanese (Lhasa Apso/Pekingese). She looks more like a Peke, but he temperament is more like a Lhasa Apso.

The biggest drawback with her is inherent to both breeds...a shedding coat! I've collected enough hair to cover six dogs. And I use a Furminator on her fairly regularly.

  • I have a one-eyed Cockerspaniel, does that count? I can't fit him into my purse or put clothes on him. What I can do, is put a patch on his bad eye and dress him up as a pirate. LOL!

  • I have a designer mutt. She's half black lab, half golden retriever, and looks like I paid for her instead of taking her off my neighbor's hands.

    She sheds like crazy.

  • I have a 120 lb half Wheaton Terrior/half Irish Wolf hound....they think. Everyone runs up when I walk him to ask if he's a labradoodle (I don't know HOW to spell that one) I tell them no, no, his a shelter mutt, not an expensive mutt. I have been corrected on more that one occasion that labradoodles ARE NOT mutts!!! LMAO!!! Do these people know what mutts are??? But then again...some one came up with the idea of breeding two different breeds together (making a mutt) and convincing people to pay top dollar for a dog they tell them is not a purebread.... How smart can these people really be? Go to the pound....they have all kinds of 'designer" dogs.
