what's your guacamole recipe?

Mine is to take three or four soft but not too soft avocados and to cut them up in a medium sized bowl. I then add 1 freshly chopped tomato, and about a half a cup of onions. I then add salt, pepper, garlic, and tapatio (or some other kind of hot sauce, if I'm out.) Then I add enough sour cream to make it creamy. I used to simply cut avocados and add salsa and sour cream... but I've also heard of people using seasoning packet, mayonnaise, and various other recipes. What's yours?

  • 4 or 5 guacamoles, salt to taste, onion powder, crushed red pepper flakes, and a teaspoon or two of water. Mash with a bean/potato smasher. Just simple and fresh!

  • It depends on what I have on hand. Usually I just mash avocado with salsa and plain fat free yogurt, with a squeeze of lime juice.

  • I pack the guac mix packet. It calls for 2 avacado's. I mix it all up, and add a diced tomato. YUM!

  • Since there are only my husband and I that eat it, I usually only use one avocado and we finish it at one sitting but here is what we add.

Avocado, fresh garlic (usually 2 or 3 cloves), one jalepeno without the seeds, chopped tomato, fresh cilantro, juice from one lime, salt

I don't like onions or we would add some onions, too

  • 2 avocadoes (diced then mashed), garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, ground black pepper, lime juice, diced tomato, diced jalapeno, diced onion. Mix all the seasonings into the avocado to taste. go light on the cumin! then add in the lime juice and the tomato, jalapeno, and onion. Yum.
