Trip to New York City

I'm chaperoning a 6th grade field trip to New York City with my son and i would like to know any tips on what to bring with us. We are leaving 5:00 in the morning and will be back by midnight. Thanks!

  • People are funny. Earplugs...........those kids get crazy on the bus. Comfortable shoes and lots of money

  • food and drinks, trust me, there are a lot of dirty kitchens in NYC. Also TP, a personal music player, a camera and some travel games.

  • A refillable water bottle. Great walking shoes. A camera (extra batteries, if appropriate). My jealousy; we are trying to schedule a long weekend in NYC at the end of the summer.

  • To StaceyNoel's questions, we will be going to Ellis Island, South Street Seaport overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge, Rockefeller Center, Top of the Rock (GE Building), Madame Tussaud's World Famous Wax Museum, and dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe.
