  • are you drinking enough water? i had to drink two tall glasses of water before every feeding or i wouldnt make enough milk. i also drank tons of mothers milk and nursing mom tea. you can make it iced but sometimes the warm fluid helps a lot too. good luck! dont give up!!

  • Put her to breast! If you're giving bottles, your milk will NEVER flow.
Just put her to breast, cont dipes (6-8 per day means she's getting enough) and at this stage expect her to be an always hungry always nursing little pain in the butt. **grin**

  • Also please stop by the breastfeeding moms group so we can do some Q&A and give you better help. The ansswers section is tough for diagnosing breastfeeding issues.

  • You can give her bottles to supplement but then everytime you do you should pump youself so that your body thinks you are feeding her. Sometimes maybe even pump inbetween to help you start producing more & drink lots of fluids. I tried BF too and had to give it up but the Dr. said she got the best part the first week so not to be disappointed, if it didn't work!
