  • A drink made from the cheap stuff they don't put on the bar for show. When you order a rum and coke, its whatever brand they have down in the well - where they keep the bottles with the spout. To get a specific brand you would have to order by name, ie, Bacardi and Coke.

  • huh okay so if I went to a bar that was advertising "$5 well drinks" and I wanted a long island would I just ask for a long island? or would that probably not be a well drink?

  • Long Islands prolly don't matter so much, considering how much goes into them.

  • Long Island is probably well or you'd have to specify what liquor brand you want for each shot. Well drinks give you a headache!

  • It would include ANY drink you aren't ordering by brand name.

Long Islands would count. You can get just about any drink from the well unless it specifically calls for a brand name.
